Amritendu Maji joined the firm in 1998, and has over 15 years of wide-ranging engineering experience in the design and construction of street, water, wastewater, drainage, private utility systems, as well as flood and surge control projects. His work includes design of pump stations, gravity collection lines, force mains, floodwalls and surge protection.
With master’s degrees in both civil engineering and engineering mechanics, Mr. Maji has a broad range of knowledge to address many types of engineering design issues. He has extensive experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers and also has worked closely with local jurisdictions on major design and construction projects. He also coordinates with N-Y’s planning department on infrastructure and land use planning projects; for example, implementing the design and relocation of utility systems and the reconstruction of streets for the new Veterans Administration Medical Center and University Medical Center in the City of New Orleans.
Mr. Maji has extensive experience in the preparation of preliminary reports, final construction plans and specifications as well as administering the construction of these projects. He has played a significant role as a Project Engineer in the production and management of the firms general civil and utility engineering practice. He was recently named an Assistant Vice President of the firm.
